We've got some great new case studies that all you sustainability fans might be interested in reading about, so I thought I would share them with you here.
Our first new case study is the story of Carterton resident Rosemary Kimberley who discovered her home was leaking water at an amazing rate of ten litres a minute! This could have cost her more than $700 if it had been missed, but thankfully the keen eyed Carterton District inspectors picked the problem up.
Our other new case study is the story of Mat and Kate who have been growing their own veges in their garden for the past year. Starting out with only a little knowledge and plenty of enthusiasm, they now not only save money on their weekly food bill but also have the added convenience of only going as far as the garden when preparing dinner.
Here at sustainability.govt.nz we love hearing about the simple changes everyday kiwis like you are making to lead a happier and more sustainable life. If you've got a story you'd like to share, you can do it right here or email us at info@sustainability.govt.nz.
