Auckland residents can access free advice to make homes healthier

3 June 2008

Home owners in Auckland City can now get a free two-hour consultation on how to make their homes healthier.

Auckland City Council has recruited an Eco Design Advisor (EDA). An EDA is a specialist, providing free energy, water and material related advice on home building projects, to ensure better use is made of resources.

The service was an initiative of BRANZ and was funded through the Ministry for the Environment's Sustainable Management Fund, the Energy Efficiency Conservation Authority and Building Research.

For a consultation contact the city council on (09) 379 2020 or email eion.scott@aucklandcity.govt.nz
