If you’re a Wellingtonian who is feeling the chill this winter, then the Wellington City Council wants to know. The council is keen to learn how well resident’s homes are insulated and whether there is a role for them in fixing the problem of poorly insulated houses.
As houses built prior to 1978 weren’t required to be insulated, there are thousands of homes in Wellington which are often cold in the winter. These houses can be more expensive to heat, use more energy and have occupants who get sick more often.
By completing the quick survey you not only get to influence the council’s decisions, you’ll also go in to win an ‘energy audit’ from Wellington’s Sustainability Trust and a centameter, so you can see exactly how much energy you’re using when that mean southerly starts howling.
The questionnaire finishes on the August 6th so start clicking.
