A new travelling exhibition of environmental art officially opens at Te Papa on 4 June as part the World Environment Day celebrations. Moving Towards a Balanced Earth: Kick the Carbon Habit, open to the public on 5 June, is brought to New Zealand by the Natural World Museum in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme. The contemporary art focuses on climate change, with an emphasis on lowering carbon emissions and includes photographs, paintings, sculpture, video, multimedia and conceptual installations. The exhibition features the works of 27 artists representing 20 countries.
