Christchurch hosts Hillary Institute Symposium

The Hillary Institute opened its first four year topic cycle ‘Leadership In Climate Change Solutions’ by hosting a symposium featuring Dr Rajendra Pauchari, Chair of the Nobel Peace Prize winning Inter-government Panel on Climate Change, focussing on the science of Climate Change.

President Anote Tong of Kiribati also spoke at the symposium about the human side of the impact of climate change and the implication for small island nations. New Zealand Prime Minister, Helen Clark, Patron for the Hillary Institute attended and delivered the keynote speech for the evening.
